The God of our fathers spoke by the prophets

He sent Son

The express image of God
And all of Him at His right hand

And the preaching of love
He subjected this world
So we look at the King
Jesus, Who perfected faith through suffering
He’s not ashamed to call us brothers

He took on flesh to save us all
And to Him we run

So if you hear His voice today let me tell you the cost
The people of God heard his voice for 40 years
But they tested and provoked and gave way to their own fears
They saw His miracles signs and wonders that He had wrought
But when it came to trusting in the Father’s heart they did not
It was the result of unbelief so rest they could not enter in
Stir one another up while it’s still today
So we don’t let in sin

We don’t shrink back, we inherit our reward
We have a high Priest who can relate to our state
He lives forever and He lives to supplicate
With faith and patience inherit the promises He made us

How do we draw near to the Holy place?
By Faith!

By faith we understand that God created heaven and earth
By faith Abel offered up a sacrifice of more worth
By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death
By faith Noah made a boat and took two of each that had breath

By faith, Abraham left all for the Promised Land of his call
By faith, Sarah got the power to give birth and to Him entrusted her soul
By faith, Abraham offered up his son and would have given up his all
By faith, he lifted the knife but God spared Isaac’s life when he saw


By faith Moses, was hidden for three months from Egypt’s slaughter
By faith when he grew up he refused to be the son of Pharaoh’s daughter
By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled blood on the doors
By faith they crossed the Red Sea, but Pharaoh's armies couldn’t endure

By faith they conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, stopped the mouths of lions
By faith obtained promises and quenched the power of fire
By faith received back their dead
And now He’s come back to life
So set your eyes on life, yes set your eyes on Christ!

Do not resist discipline
Just sit with Him and listen in
Consider Him who endured such hostility but not bitterness within
With your life be a living sacrifice and light the lamp
He will never, never leave you
So go with Him outside the camp
